Syren's Calling

Syren is a singer, songwriter, and performer devoted to keeping a human heartbeat alive in an age of artificial noise. Her work lives at the intersection of voice, myth, and live presence, creating immersive alt-rock shaped by dark pop and electronic textures. Whether on record or on stage, Syren treats music as a force meant to be felt, not consumed.

Her relationship with music began through live performance and collaboration, leading rock bands as a vocalist and recording multiple albums across a wide range of genres. From pop-punk and sludge metal to electro-pop and alternative rock, these early years forged her vocal power, stage command, and deep respect for the discipline of collaboration. Recording albums drew her into the studio, where she discovered that production and technology are not just tools, but expressive mediums capable of shaping emotion, precision, and atmosphere.

Over time, Syren’s artistic path expanded beyond traditional band structures. Through her solo project, Syren’s Element, she explored electronic music and performance technology, building immersive one-woman shows using soundscapes, lighting, and visual elements. These performances revealed a core truth that continues to define her work: music reaches its most potent form when it is shared live, through presence and connection.

Seeking to deepen this multimedia approach, Syren studied Theater and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley, where she wrote and composed Love & Pride the Musical. The production blended her foundational genres of rock and EDM with reggaeton, folk, metal, jazz, and R&B, pushing the boundaries of musical storytelling. Produced and performed multiple times across San Francisco, the work demonstrated her ability to integrate music, narrative, design, and social impact into a cohesive artistic experience.
Travel has played a vital role in shaping Syren’s sound. Immersion in musical traditions around the world deepened her understanding of rhythm, melody, and the cultural forces that shape music. From Japanese Kabuki theater to Portuguese Fado to Argentinian tango, these influences surface throughout her writing, performances, and ongoing explorations of genre.

Syren currently brings her work to life through Water, a live performance journey unfolding across 100 stages. Water is the first chapter in an elemental arc, rooted in depth, flow, resonance, and immersion. Each performance is designed as a visceral, intimate experience where voice and sound move like waves, inviting audiences into a shared ritual of listening and presence.
Alongside her music and live shows, Syren shares her passion for the craft and culture of music through deep explorations of genres and the forces that shape sound. These explorations honor the roots of music while engaging with its evolution, reinforcing her belief that artistry thrives through intention, lineage, and human connection.

Listeners are invited to hear the music, witness it live, and step fully into Syren’s Element.
